Warranty & Sales Policy – JSpec Auto Parts

At JSpec Auto Parts, we are committed to providing our customers with high-quality, performance-tested JDM engines, transmissions, and auto parts. Please read the following Warranty and Sales Policy carefully before making a purchase. By placing an order, you agree to all the terms outlined below

1. Deposits & Reservations

  • A refundable deposit of 35% of the total item price is required to reserve any engine, transmission, or auto part.

  • A $200 reservation fee is available for customers who wish to hold an item for up to three (3) weeks.

  • Both the deposit and reservation fee are refundable and transferable under all circumstances.

  • Customers may cancel within the 3-week reservation period, but the deposit and reservation fee will  be refunded.

  • After the 3-week period, customers may request an in-store credit equal to the amount paid, excluding the non-refundable deposit and reservation fee.

2. Return Policy

  • If payment is made in full (no deposits), returns are accepted within 30 days from the purchase date with no restocking fee.

  • Between 31 and 45 days, a 30% restocking fee will apply.

  • After 90 days, no refunds will be issued.

  • Customers may request in-store credit up to 90 days after purchase (excluding reservation fees).

  • All shipping costs (both ways) are the responsibility of the buyer. Shipping fees are non-refundable.

3. Warranty Coverage

  • Engine Block & Cylinder Head: 90-day startup warranty from the date of delivery.

  • Used Replacement Transmissions: 90-day warranty.

  • Used Performance Transmissions: No warranty.

  • Electronic/Electrical Parts: No warranty.

  • Seals, Gaskets, and Accessories: Not covered under warranty.

Warranty applies only to the long block (head and block assembly) and does not cover labor, shipping, replacement parts, or incidental costs.

4. Warranty Conditions

  • All installations must be performed by a certified mechanic.

  • Engines are compression-tested before shipment to ensure quality.

  • If an item requires repair or replacement, it must be returned to our warehouse for inspection.

    • We do not cover labor or parts for repairs.

    • Refunds or replacements are issued only after inspection of the returned item.

  • Engines or transmissions must be returned in the same condition as received.

    • Any missing or damaged parts will be charged to the customer.

  • Warranty is void if:

    • The engine or transmission is opened, modified, or disassembled by the customer.

    • The engine is used for racing, forced induction (turbo/supercharger/NOS), or aftermarket tuning.

    • Failure results from improper installation, poor maintenance, overheating, or lack of oil.

5. Shipping & Damage Policy

  • Inspect your shipment before signing the delivery release form.

    • If there is visible external damage, note it immediately with the freight driver.

    • Do not sign the release form without inspection.

  • Shipping insurance is provided by the freight carrier, not JSpec Auto Parts.

  • Once you sign without noting damage, the carrier is released of responsibility.

  • You must notify JSpec Auto Parts immediately if your shipment arrives damaged.

6. Installation & Fitment Disclaimer

  • JSpec Auto Parts does not provide installation instructions or fitment guides.

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure proper compatibility before purchase.

  • Used parts may show cosmetic wear, scratches, or signs of age. Please review product photos and descriptions carefully.

7. Compliance Notice

Engines and components may not comply with local or state emission standards.
You are responsible for transferring emission control components from your old engine to the new one if required by law.
All accessories attached to engines are included for testing purposes only and are provided free of charge. The listed price covers the engine long block only (cylinder head and short block).

8. Cancellations

  • Orders canceled after full payment but before shipping will incur a 5% cancellation fee.

  • Orders canceled after shipping has been arranged will incur a 5% cancellation fee.
